SBTi was co-sponsored by the UK Carbon Disclosure Initiative (CDP), the World Resources Institute (WRI), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in 2014. Provide guidance on carbon reduction goals and paths to ensure that it is consistent with the goal of controlling the global temperature rise to less than 2 °C and striving for 1.5 °C in the Paris Agreement. The basic logic of SBTi is to link the emission path of enterprises with the global emission path according to the appropriate allocation method under the greenhouse gas budget related to the global temperature control target, based on a series of representative and scientific emission scenarios, and transform the global temperature control target into a practical requirement for enterprises.
In order to help more companies achieve emission reduction targets, the NOA service team will conduct on-site investigations of companies, guide companies to complete greenhouse gas inventories, carry out greenhouse gas emission inspections, assist in formulating scientific carbon targets, and complete target declarations.
