Combustion performance refers to all the physical and chemical changes that occur when the material burns or encounters fire, and this performance is measured by the characteristics of the material surface ignition and flame propagation, heat, smoke, charring, weight loss and the generation of toxic products.

Our national standard GB8624-2012 classifies the combustion performance of building materials into the following grades : Class A : non-combustible materials (products), Class B1:non-combustible materials (products), Class B2 : combustible materials (products), Class B3:flammable materials (products). This standard was released on December 31, 2012, and implemented on October 01, 2013. GB 8624 in the implementation of more than a decade, as China's building materials and building internal use of some of the specific purpose of the classification of material combustion performance guidelines for the evaluation of material fire performance, guidance on fire safety design, fire safety supervision, the implementation of fire prevention  design specifications has played an important role, resulting in a significant social and economic benefits.

In addition to construction materials have their own testing standards, there are a large number of aerospace, rail transportation, road transportation, wire and cable, military products, textile toys and other industries have testing standards to test the combustion properties.

NOA has a central laboratory of 30,000m2 and has obtained CMA and CNAS qualification.The laboratory is equipped with a combustion laboratory, which provides detailed technical   consulting solutions through experienced technicians and offers a variety of complete testing experiments to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
